Facebook is waging a legal battle in Bangladesh

[ad_1]

A Bangladeshi company called ‘A One Software Limited’ has opened a local domain called ‘Facebook.com.bd’. Since then, the company has demanded ৬ 8 million from Facebook authorities. For this reason, Facebook authorities have announced that they will take legal action in the Bangladeshi court seeking a permanent ban on the organization.

Attorneys have already been appointed to fight the legal battle. Facebook authorities have appointed Supreme Court attorney Barrister Mokshedul Islam. He is accompanied by two other lawyers. They will also work on that attorney’s panel. They are attorneys Ariful Haque and Sudipta Shaheen.

The Facebook authorities will begin working on the matter next Monday in the judicial court seeking a domain ban. Barrister Mokshedul Islam also said that a legal team from Facebook authorities is contacting the Bangladeshi lawyer on the matter.

Lawyer Mokshedul Islam told Jago News on Wednesday (November 18) that Facebook authorities would file a lawsuit in a Bangladeshi court seeking £ 50,000 in damages. The case is pending.

He said that Facebook is the social network with the highest circulation in the world. No one will be able to open the website with this name. But a Bangladeshi company called A One Software Limited has opened a local domain called ‘Facebook.com.bd’. The domain is expected to sell for 6 million. They are therefore demanding £ 8 million from the authorities. For this reason, Facebook has sent legal notices to close the website more than once. But that hasn’t stopped. He said that Facebook authorities had hired him as a lawyer to take legal action.

Lawyer Mokshedul Islam said: “The Facebook authorities have already provided six to seven hundred pages of documents to our legal team.” A compensation case will be filed in the lower court in Dhaka next week. At the same time, the court will be asked to prohibit the operation of the website so that no one is misled through it.
