Dhaka: In the Bangshal Armanitola area of ​​the capital, a strong explosion occurred due to accumulated gas in the sewer line. Seven people were injured.

A part of the road has also been flattened.

The incident took place on the west side of the Armanitola land gate around 4:30 pm on Wednesday (October 6). Three of the seven injured have been admitted to Mitford Hospital in the capital.

Nawab Ali, Abdur Rob and Siraj have been admitted to Mitford Hospital. The other four left with first aid. However, the condition of those who have been admitted is not serious.

Bangshal Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahin Fakir said the explosion is believed to have been caused by gas in the sewer line. A part of the road is flattened. Also, I learned that seven pedestrians were injured in this incident.

Anis, a telephone operator for the Fire and Civil Defense Service headquarters, said the explosion was caused by gas that had accumulated in a manhole on Armanitola Road. Two of our units went to the scene.
