Health Minister Zahid Malek said necessary steps were being taken to ensure everyone was vaccinated against the coronavirus. He said that where and when it was necessary. Opening the surgery department and operating room complex at the Sheikh Russell Gastroliver National Hospital and Institute in Dhaka on Thursday, he said steps are being taken to make the vaccine available to all.
The Health Minister said that Bangladesh, like other countries, will receive the vaccine if it reaches the World Health Organization. First they will pay 3 percent, then they (WHO) will also receive the vaccine, then the remaining 18 percent will be delivered to different countries. We will keep coming from there.
He said that Bangladesh is better than many other countries in treating cod infection as health services have improved. None of our work has stopped. Medical care continues in the face of coronavirus infection. All kinds of development work are being done by the Ministry of Health.
Director General of the Department of Health, Prof. ABM Khurshid Alam, President of the Medical Council of Independence (Swachip), Prof. Iqbal Arslan, director of the National Gastroliver Institute and Professor of the Hospital.
