Erdogan’s absolute victory in the elections for the position of party president

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been re-elected chairman of the ruling AK Party.

He was elected by councilors by a large vote at the Justice and Development (AK) party’s seventh national conference on Wednesday. Anadolu News.

Erdogan received 1,426 of the 1,431 votes cast at the party council in Ankara, with the remaining three declared invalid.

This is the seventh time in a row that the influential leader of the Muslim world has become the Chairman of the AK Party through this outright victory.

“I ask God that our Congress benefits the country, the nation and the party,” Erdogan said after being elected. Thanks to all those interested for re-electing me as President.

The conference aimed to reorganize his party’s executive committee around 2023 and set the party’s agenda.

Turkey’s preparations for 2023 are extensive. That year the country will celebrate the centenary of the founding of modern Turkey. Erdogan is also preparing for this year.

Because the next elections in Turkey are also in 2023. According to the constitution, Erdogan will be able to run for president for the last time.
