During the meeting, AK Abdul Momen and Erdogan emphasized the importance of taking new initiatives in the exchange of commercial goods, sending more delegations and participating in fairs and exhibitions.
They described the ongoing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, culture and the military as strong. During the discussion, both expressed their satisfaction with the existing friendly relations.
The President of Turkey made some specific proposals emphasizing the importance of improving trade relations between the two countries. These proposals include investing in new products, textiles, pharmaceuticals and other sectors, avoiding existing tariff barriers.
Erdogan also expressed the hope that the two countries will take the necessary measures to ensure participation in trade fairs. The President of Turkey proposed to allocate the land needed for the construction of a modern hospital in Bangladesh with financial assistance from Turkey.
Erdogan expressed his satisfaction with the high-level meetings of the BDC held between the foreign ministries of the two countries at regular intervals. In the near future, the two sides agreed to establish a forum for regular talks at a higher level.
Erdogan assured Turkey of further cooperation on the current Covid-19 situation. On the eve of the inauguration of the newly built Turkish Embassy in Dhaka, President Erdogan expressed his hope for a visit to Bangladesh as soon as possible after the end of the Kovid-19 epidemic.
