At the meeting, they emphasized taking new initiatives in the exchange of commercial goods, sending more delegations and participating in fairs and exhibitions.
At the same time, they called for ongoing cooperation in the fields of education, culture and the strong military.
According to the press release, Erdogan, Turkey’s president and current president of the organization, agreed to attend the D-7 summit to be held in Dhaka early next year. In this context, he highlighted the expansion of D-8 by incorporating new member states.
Praising Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for providing refuge for persecuted and distressed Rohingya refugees, Erdogan assured that he will stand behind Bangladesh in all possible bilateral and international affairs.
President Erdogan expressed his hope for a visit to Bangladesh during the inauguration of the newly built Turkish Embassy in Dhaka, at the earliest after the end of the Kovid-19 epidemic.
He expressed his satisfaction with the holding of Foreign Relations Consultations (CDB) at regular intervals between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries.
