The ODI England-South Africa series was eventually canceled due to a cricketer suffering from a crown. The decision was made by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) in order to protect the physical and mental health of the players. This series will take place in the future.

Confirming the series’ cancellation, ECB Chief Executive Tom Harrison said on Monday: “We are concerned about the recent Corona incident.” The decision has been made taking into account the health of the players. I would like to thank the South African Cricket Board for accepting this decision. In the future, we will both try to organize this series at any time through discussion.

“We have taken health care seriously,” said Kugandri Govender, acting chief executive officer of CSA. So now that decision is made.

The first match was postponed to Sunday, two days after a South African cricketer was hit by a crown just before the start of the England series. That match was declared abandoned late on Sunday.

The announcement of the game’s cancellation came just 30 minutes before the start of the first ODI on Sunday. In the Covid-19 test on Friday, the results of the two teams were negative.

The England team is scheduled to leave South Africa on Thursday.
