The complaint was filed in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court Ashek Imam on Tuesday.
In addition to Khokon, former Dhaka South City Corporation chief revenue officer Yusuf Ali Sardar, former deputy assistant engineer Majed, Kamrul Hasan, Helena Akter, Atiqur Rahman Swapan and Walid were also charged.
According to the case allegation, the defendants have taken around Tk 34.69 crore from the merchants at different times to give legitimacy to the unplanned structures built in this block of Fulbaria Super Market-2 in the capital. They were later evicted but did not get their money back.
Judge Atiqur Rahman said the judge had placed an order Wednesday on the plaintiff’s statement.
Regarding the case, Saeed Khokon said in a statement: “The current mayor of DSCC, Sheikh Fazle Nur Taposh, is doing all this filth with Delwar Hossain Delu. This is tarnishing the image of himself and the team. “
