Eighty members of the security forces fell ill after eating at the hotel

Police, members of BGB and Ansar Bahini fell ill after eating at a hotel in Brahmanpara de Comilla. They are being treated at various health centers, including the Brahmanpara Upazila Health Complex.

The number of members of various forces who have been hospitalized since Wednesday night (December 9) is increasing. Until the last news was received at 12 at night, 60 people became ill and were admitted to the hospital. Comilla (Devidwar and Brahmanpara Circle) Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police Amirullah confirmed the matter.

He said that more than a hundred members of various forces who came to perform their duties in the by-elections of Brahman for Upazila Parishad had lunch at a restaurant called ‘Etc.’ Shortly after that, they began to have a stomach ache. Many became seriously ill in the afternoon. They have been admitted to various hospitals, including the Brahmanpara Upazila Health Complex.

Speaking with the doctors, it became known that many have been discharged with first aid. Those whose condition does not improve have been admitted to the health complex.

Brahmanpara Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer. Abu Hasnat said. Mohiuddin Mubin said the problem was due to food poisoning. We continue to strive to provide the best possible service. Those who are seriously ill are sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital.

Comilla Police Superintendent Syed Nurul Islam said: “I have heard that 25/30 members of the security forces have been infected with food poisoning.” Arrangements have been made to treat them. It will have no effect on the election. The force will be sent as an alternative to them.
Voting for the by-elections for the post of president of Brahmanpara Upazila Parishad is underway on Thursday (December 10).
