A legal notice has been issued to interested persons demanding that the educational qualifications of the president or members of the steering committee of all secondary educational institutions in the country be at least a graduation pass.
The Secretary of Education, the Director General (DG) of the Department of Secondary and Secondary Education and the President of the Board of Higher and Secondary Education have been requested to respond to the notification within 15 days.
Zaheer Uddin Limon, president of the Foundation for Legal Support and People’s Rights and an attorney for the Supreme Court, sent the notice by certified mail Tuesday.
The ad said that to be a high school teacher, one must have at least a bachelor’s degree. Some of them teach in these institutions despite having obtained the highest decree in the country. There is no determination of the educational qualifications of the chairman of the management committee in the management of those teachers.
However, a notification has been issued on September 6 last year that the minimum educational qualification is not the president of the elementary school without graduation. In this situation, it is important for the high school management committee to determine the minimum educational grade.
It should be noted that the minimum educational qualification to be President of the Board of Directors of the Graduate (Pass) and Honors-Masters College is Degree Pass. On the other hand, Fazil (graduate) cannot be president of the governing body of a madrasa without a graduate (not below grade pass) by the Superior Court.
