DU regrets cancellation of Radhag day ban

Dhaka University: Dhaka University authorities reversed a decision to ban Radh Day on campus at a meeting of the university’s academic council (DU).

This information was given in another revised press release from the university’s public relations office on Thursday (September 3).

It is said, September 2, 2020. In a press release issued by the Public Relations Department on Wednesday, the information about the ‘Ban Radg Day’ was inadvertently presented differently. I’m sorry about that.

Originally, the decision of the Academic Council was as follows: On behalf of the observance of Radh-Day, concerned authorities are asked to monitor any unwanted, inhuman, disrespectful or undisciplined behavior on campus or in residential areas. Policies should be formulated to organize ‘completion of education’, graduation festival celebrations / festivals / colorful demonstrations, etc. For this, the following committee was formed.

The members of the committee are the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samad (coordinator) and supervising professor. Member Secretary of AKM Golam Rabbani. The deans of the Faculty of Arts, Biology and Business Sciences are also members.
