DSE transaction exceeded Rs 210 crore

Dhaka: The second business day of the year ended on Monday (January 4) with the rise in the capital market index. The country’s main stock market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the rest of the transactions on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) increased.

On Monday, the DSE transaction topped Rs 21 billion.

This information has been known from DSE and CSE sources. According to the market analysis, DSE’s main price index, DSEX, rose 33 points to 5,752 points. Among the other two indices, the DSE Shariah Index is down one point and the DSE-30 Index is up 12 points to 1296 and 2091 points respectively.

On Monday shares and mutual funds worth Tk 2,193.01 million were traded on the DSE. Which is 26 crore more than the previous business day. The previous day’s transaction on the DSE was for 1,925 crore 6 lakh.

The shares of 362 companies and mutual fund units were traded on the DSE. Of these, 156 companies’ prices rose, 142 fell, and 73 mutual fund units were unchanged.

The top 10 companies listed on Monday were Beximco Limited, Beximco Pharma, Larfazholsim, LankaBangla, IFIC Bank, Power Grid, Square Pharma, BSCCL, NBL and BD Finance.

On the other hand, the general index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, CASPI, rose 106 points to 16,382 points. Of the 291 companies that changed hands on the CSE on Monday, 148 were up, 104 were down and 40 were unchanged.

Shares and units worth Tk 61.50 crore were traded on the CSE that day. Which is 14 crore more than the day before. Shares and mutual funds worth Tk 6.28 crore were traded on the CSE the day before.
