DSE Index is at a 22-month high

On Monday, DSE’s main index, the DSEX, rose 33.38 points or 0.59 percent to 5,652.33 points.

The house of DSEX had more points than before on March 13, 2019. That day the index was 5,853.22 points.

Shares worth Tk 2,193.01 crore were traded on the Dhaka market. The amount of the transaction on Sunday was 1,925 crore 6 lakh rupees.

Previously, on June 26, 2020, a transaction of Tk 2,543.25 crore was carried out on the Dhaka capital market. That day, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) delivered 96 lakh 85,144 Bangladeshi shares to Unilever Overseas Holdings BV, triggering a sudden jump in recession.

The latest transaction was larger than on December 6, 2010. On that day, shares worth Tk 2,610.82 million were traded on the Dhaka market.

Of the 362 companies listed on the DSE on Monday, 156 rose and 142 fell in mutual fund units; And the price of 63 has not changed.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) CASPI main index rose 106.21 points or 0.6 percent to 17,382 points.

Shares worth Tk 61.50 crore were traded on the CSE on the day, compared to Tk 6.28 crore the day before.

Of the 291 listed companies, 148 mutual fund units increased, 104 units decreased and 40 units were unchanged.
