Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) raided Fulbaria Super Market-2 in Gulistan and evicted 250 stores. The operation was carried out from 1:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Agitated traders did not allow the operation at first. When the operation began at 1:30 in the afternoon, they began to throw bricks at the police and the officers and employees of the corporation. Later, the police dispersed them by firing tear gas. Then the campaign to evict unplanned tents began.

The DSCC says unplanned 911 stores were found in the mall. According to the pre-announcement, the campaign was going to start at 11 am today. But the merchants took position on the road from 9 in the morning at the news of the operation. So the expedition began three hours after the scheduled time.

DSCC officials say there are only 531 stores in Fulbaria Super Market-2. More than two decades ago, parking lots, toilets, sidewalks and shops were built everywhere. In 1998, the corporation began the process of temporary adjudication of the stores built in the parking lot. Finally, in 2012, temporary designs were delivered to non-design stores built in different locations, including sidewalks.
