The victim’s driver, Mohammadan Mobin, testified in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court, Sarafuzzaman Ansari, on Sunday.
Assistant District Attorney Azad Rahman said the testimony of six of the 42 witnesses in the case had ended.
He told bdnews24.com that the defendant’s attorney subsequently questioned the witness. Finally, the judge set October 21 as the next day for the testimony.
According to the case file, JKG Healthcare collected samples for coronavirus detection in different parts of the country, including Dhaka, and reported them to 26,000 people without testing. Most of it is considered false.
The company was sealed on June 23 after a raid. Subsequently, the doorman at their home filed a lawsuit against them at the Tejgaon Police Station on behalf of one of the victims.
DB Police Inspector Liaquat Ali filed a charge sheet against Sabrina and her husband, JKG Executive Director Ariful Haque Chowdhury, and eight other individuals at the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrates Court on August 5 at noon.
The other defendants are Abu Saeed Chowdhury, Humayun Kabir Himu, Tanjila Patwari, Biplob Das, Shafiqul Islam Romeo and Jebunnesa.
The charge sheet alleges that Sabrina and Arif were cheaters. The rest have cooperated with them.
On August 20, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarafuzzaman Anshari ordered the trial to begin by bringing charges against the defendants.
