The government is acting illegally by importing antigen kits from South Korea, said the founder and administrator of the public health center. Jafrullah Chowdhury. He made the remarks in an interview with the media on Thursday night (October 15).
Dr. Jafrullah Chowdhury said, we are the first to discover antigen and antibody kits. The government asks us to test the antigen kit in an American laboratory. Then I explained to the government that I made this kit for the people of my country. I have fought with ambassadors in four countries. I said that it is good for our country if it is good, bad if it is bad, why do you bother? Then they gave us a new condition on the kit, to be tested in an external laboratory in the United States or Sweden. We have to spend around a million rupees more there.
“The most important thing is that I did not agree to deceive the third world,” he added. Now the government is importing antigen kits from South Korea. But the South Korean antigen kit has not been tested in American labs. Now the thing is that the test that I have to pass, South Korea must also pass that test. But in the case of South Korea, they are not following that policy. It is absolutely illegal for the government. One rule for the kit in one country and another shortcut rule for the kit in another country. Or is there money involved here?
Dr. Jafrullah Chowdhury added: “We have the kit ready, but we cannot commercialize it.” At least four countries want to take our antigen kit. But the condition is that the kit must be registered in our country. That’s why I can’t give them to you. I cannot benefit the people of the country and the people of the world.
