Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that the people of Bangladesh are religious, not fanatical; Don’t use religion as a political tool. Everyone has the right to practice their religion. Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony. Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Christians: this country has become independent in exchange for the blood of people of all religions and castes.

The Prime Minister said this while addressing the nation on the occasion of the Great Victory Day on Tuesday night. He wished all the citizens of the country on Victory Day. He also asked to celebrate Victory Day in compliance with health regulations.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said: ‘This is the Bangladesh of Lalon Shah, Rabindranath, Kazi Nazrul, Jibanananda. This is the Bangladesh of Shahjalal, Shah Paran, Shah Makdum, Khanjahan Ali. This Bangladesh is Sheikh Mujib’s Bangladesh; Bangladesh of sixteen and a half crore Bengalis. This country belongs to everyone. In the name of religion, we will not allow any kind of division in this country. The people of this country will advance along the path of progress, progress and development upholding religious values.

The Prime Minister’s speech on the occasion of the 49th Great Victory Day began today at 7.30 pm. It ends in 20 minutes.

At the beginning of her speech, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said: ‘Today we are going to celebrate Victory Day 2020 at a special moment in history. This year we celebrate the centenary of the birth of our great leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali of all time, the father of the nation. In a few days we will enter the golden anniversary of our independence. We have earned the status of a developing country from a least developed country. By uniting the entire nation, we have set a new example in the world in addressing the coronavirus epidemic. The Padma Bridge, which is being built on its own, linked the two ends of the country just a week ago. With the conviction to be one of the best nations in the world, I wish all the citizens of Bangladesh at home and abroad a happy Victory Day.

The Prime Minister said: “When the Father of the Nation was busy rebuilding the war-torn country and working tirelessly day and night for the betterment of the country’s people, the allies of the defeated power killed him and his family on the 15th. August 1975 “. By killing Bangabandhu, only one person did not fall in love with Mujib. An attempt was made to question the rise of Bangladesh by killing it. Bangabandhu’s assassination put an end to the irresistible cultural, social and economic progress of the Bengali nation. By killing him, an ideal and a dream came true. The dream that was associated with the fate of millions of ordinary workers in this country. Sujla-Sufla-Shasya-Shyamla is the dream of building a golden Bengal.

The Father of the Nation was not only a pure Muslim, he was a devoted follower of religious rites. Who else like him could understand the minds, thoughts and aspirations of the people of Bengal! So when he wrote the constitution, he reflected the hopes and aspirations of the people and adopted Bengali nationalism, secularism, democracy, and socialism as the four basic principles of state government.

But sadly, the anti-liberation governments of the post-75 liberation war took steps to perpetuate their seats in state power by squandering the values acquired through the liberation war. The military junta stabbed the constitution with the bayonet. Continuing propaganda under state patronage, distorting history, trying to smear the Awami League and members of the Bangabandhu family.

Islam, the father of a secular nation, has never done what governments masked in the name of Islam have done to protect and spread religious values. The prohibition of alcohol, gambling and horse racing by law, the establishment of Islamic foundations, the establishment of madrasa boards, the acquisition of OIC membership were all carried out by Bangabandhu within three years and a half of independence.

Sheikh Hasina, daughter of the Father of the Nation, said: “I returned to the country in 1981 and took over the party, ignoring all obstacles from Ziaur Rahman, the supporter of the anti-liberation forces. I started working with the vow to put a smile on the face of the people of Bengal by upholding my father’s ideal.

In 1996, 21 years after the tragic events of 1975, the Bangladesh Awami League came to power with the rule of the people. During the period 1996-2001 and from 2009 to the present, our government has achieved an unimaginable development in the socioeconomic sector of the country. No government in the past has done as much as my government has done to promote and spread religious education. We have established the Islamic Arab University. Honors courses have been introduced in 60 model madrasas. Qawmi Madrasa has been recognized and the level of Hadith in Dawar has received the standard of Masters. I have made a special assignment for the students and teachers of the madrasa. Beautiful mosques are being built in all districts and upazila. I have formed a welfare trust to help the Imam-Moazzins. Mosque-based libraries have been created across the country under the auspices of the Islamic Foundation. Arrangements have been made for the employment of hundreds of thousands of scholars and ulama.

However, a section of the defeated power of 1971 has recently taken to the field to confuse ordinary devout Muslims with false, fabricated and fabricated statements. He wants to create discomfort in society. The Father of the Nation said in 1972 that religion should not be used as a political tool. But the allies of the defeated power dream of returning the country to the state of 50 years ago. He is showing the boldness to scowl at the government with political help.

The Prime Minister’s speech was broadcast simultaneously on Bangladesh Television (BTV), Bangladesh Betar, the private television channel NTV, and other television channels and radio stations.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina addressed the nation on November 21 on the occasion of ‘Armed Forces Day-2020’. The speech was broadcast simultaneously on private television and radio channels, including Bangladesh Television, at 7:30 p.m. that day.
