Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged young people not to run after jobs but to become entrepreneurs.

He made the call while attending the opening performance of Bangabandhu National Youth Day via video conference from Ganobhaban on Sunday.

Addressing young people on the occasion, the Prime Minister said: “Think about how you can do something on your own without applying for a degree, you can employ ten more people, you can become an entrepreneur, you can become a boss.”

He said he had to keep in mind that ‘I will be my boss, I will give the job’. I have that power in me, I’ll use that power. ‘

The Prime Minister said: “We are old, our time is up, but youth will really give life to the country.” This is how our young generation has to move forward, that’s what I want.

Addressing the youth, the head of government said: “This is the age of work, the age of thought, the age of intellectual development.” And whenever the Awami League has come to government, it has taken various measures with a special focus on youth employment.

“The youth of today will be the leaders of the country in the future; The government is taking all possible measures to ensure that the future of the child born today is improved.

Highlighting the various measures taken by the government to combat the coronavirus outbreak, the head of government also instructed everyone to wear masks.

He said: “Now is the time to control those who come to our country from abroad, to quarantine them. We have to take the same measures as before from now on in all ports from that airport.” As soon as someone enters, you have to check if they are entering with coronavirus. Because we have to guarantee the safety of the people of my country.
