On February 2, the first death of a Corona patient occurred outside of China in the Philippines.

On February 11, the World Health Organization named the disease caused by the coronavirus ‘Covid-19’.

On March 11, the World Health Organization declared Corona a global epidemic.

The situation in Bangladesh
According to the Department of Health, a total of 5 lakh 3,501 people have been diagnosed with corona infection in the country so far. The Health Department has confirmed a total of 6,329 deaths. And 4 lakh 41,929 people have recovered.

The first coronavirus infection in Bangladesh was announced on March 8. The first death was reported on March 17.

Corona infections have increased in the country since the end of May. The infection had been decreasing since the end of August. In November the upward trend reappeared. However, the infection detection rate has been declining for several days.
