The tennis world is waiting for the Nadal-Djokovic duo to fight for the title in the ATP finals. Although for him the two stars will have to overcome the obstacle of their own semifinals.
Djokovic, the world’s number one star, was undefeated after losing to Russian Daniel Medvedev. The Joker had to leave the group if he couldn’t beat German Alexander Zerev in the last match.
Novak, however, did not make that mistake. The Serbian star defeated Zerev 6-3, 6-6 (4) in the group stage and secured a ticket to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Djokovic will face US Open champion Dominic Thiem in the semi-finals. The other semifinalist Rafael Nadal will take to the field in the current final phase of the tour of the striking Medvedev. Djokovic and Nadal will meet in the title fight if they win their respective semi-final matches.
Djokovic is set to play in the ATP Finals this time with Roger Federer winning six titles. The Joker won the Tour finals four times in a row from 2012 to 2015. He also won the title in 2008. Nadal, however, has yet to win the traditional end-of-season tournament. Please note that this is the last ATP final in London. After that, the tournament will move to Turin.
