More than a hundred police officers were deployed for security inside and outside the court. No one other than the lawyer, prosecutor and journalist in the case was allowed into the courtroom. At this time, they were all scanned and admitted to court.

According to our correspondent in the courtroom, the judges took a maximum of 10 minutes to read the verdict. The 53-page verdict was read in the presence of the accused.

Dipan’s father, Abul Qasim Fazlul Haque, did not appear in court, but his wife Razia Rahman Jolly was present. After the verdict was announced, she burst into tears on the court premises. At that moment, journalists surrounded him. However, he did not speak to reporters and left the court premises soon after.

However, our correspondent said that he was satisfied with the verdict.

After the verdict, the defendants were transferred back to jail under strict security measures.
