Abdul Ahad Salman, an assistant professor at the famous Rashidia madrasa in Feni, spoke on behalf of the victims. Later, he asked everyone to obtain a nursing certificate. Unable to manage the nursing certificate, she sought Askari’s cooperation in this regard. At the time, Askari asked to contact him with the number of an official from the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). In fact, the alleged BMDC official was Raju alias Rashed, Askari’s accomplice. After calling Rashed, he said he could do the job secretly and demanded Tk 75,000 for each certificate. Salman said he initially had doubts about the matter, but later agreed. He took Tk 75,000 out of 400 people going abroad and delivered a total of Tk 3.5 crore in six points to Askari and Rashed. After that, Askari started Talbahana. Later he will realize that he was actually duped.
According to Salman, when he came to Dhaka to meet Askari after the presentation, he met him once at a restaurant in Dhanmondi and then in front of a shipyard in Dhanmondi. Askari told Salman that his father and father were renovating the shipyard at the time. “As a descendant of the Nawab family, I have believed everything he said,” Salman said.

During preliminary questioning, Askari admitted that Raju and several others were his full-time accomplices in the scam.
