Funeral prayers for the late Pir Mahbub-e-Khoda alias Dewanbagir from ‘Dewanbagh Sharif’ in Arambagh in the capital will be held in Dewanbagh on Tuesday (December 29) after Johar. You will be given an honor guard after the janaza. He will then be buried with his wife in Medina Dewanbagh Sharif.

He said that he (Dewanbagh Pir) was not sick. He was rushed to Panthapath Square Hospital on Monday morning. Doctors on duty at the hospital declared him dead. As news of his death spread, fans began to arrive from across the country. The funeral and burial will be completed tomorrow.
The Dewanbagh manager said. A press release signed by Arsam Kudrat A Khoda stated that in the War of Independence in 1971, Dewanbagi Pir fought valiantly against Pak aggressors as the Commander of the 3rd Platoon. At the end of the war he served as a religion teacher in the 17th Bengal Regiment of the Army. He subsequently established a total of 11 courts and more than 100 khanqahs in different countries of the world, including Bangladesh.
