The government has reduced the Covid-19 exam fee for migrant workers. From now on, it will cost 300 rupees to test coronavirus for smart card workers who want to go abroad in government labs.
Previously, the government fee was 1,500 rupees. This rate applies to everyone. If there is an objection to the matter, the government sets a new rate. The health department issued a notice in this regard on December 24.
The Undersecretary of the Department of Health Services of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Bilkis Begum has signed the circular. The Covid-19 sample test fee for passengers traveling abroad has been said to have been re-set at 300 Tk instead of 1,500 Tk. This fee will be charged in all government health institutions for the issuance of the free COVID-19 certificate only to those who want to travel abroad with a smart card from the Ministry of Welfare for Expatriates and Employment Abroad.
The notice issued in the public interest will be implemented immediately, according to the notice.
The crown test for foreigners is compulsory from July 20. At that time a fee of Rs 3,500 must be charged.
On August 24, the government reduced the rate to 1,500 taka. This time, the fee for expatriate workers has been reduced by 1,200 Tk at one time.
