According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Bangladesh Air Force has continued to provide emergency airlift and medical evacuation services with professionalism to prevent the spread of the corona virus, ensuring its commitment to assisting the civil administration. After this, this medical evacuation mission was carried out under the necessary direction of the Chief of the Bangladesh Air Force.

The Air Force further reported that Rangpur Medical College Hospital dental surgeon Dr. Korona was suffering from pneumonia. When Abdul Wahab’s physical condition deteriorated, he was rushed to Dhaka from Mymensingh with the addition of an AW-139 helicopter from the Bangladesh Air Force.

Dr. Abdul Wahab was in treatment at the ICU at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. He was later sent to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital for advanced treatment.
