His Bangladesh Khilafah Majlis party has demanded the immediate arrest of those who misbehaved towards Maulana Mamunul Haque. Mamunul Haque is the secretary general of the party. On Saturday night (April 3), Amir Ismail Nurpuri of the party said that government cadres had harassed Maulana Mamunul Haque out of jealousy over her popularity.
In a statement, Ismail Nurpuri said that such behavior is harmful to the country and the nation. Those who misbehaved towards Mamunul Haque must be arrested immediately. By the way, Maulana Mamunul Haque, Central Deputy General Secretary of Hifazat-e-Islam and General Secretary of the Dhaka Metropolitan, was attacked by locals while visiting the Royal Resort in Sonargaon, Narayanganj. They locked him in room 501 on the fifth floor of the Royal Resort at 3pm on Saturday.
Later the police came to rescue him. Mamunul Haque claims that the woman’s name is Amina Tayyab. She is the second wife of Mamunul Haque. He went to the resort with Amina.
Around 8 pm, the guards kidnapped Mamunul Haque and detained him. They also took the woman who was with Mamunul Haque at the time. However, Hifazat workers vandalized the hotel area at that time.
