The Muktijuddha Mancha has blocked Shahbagh’s shift demanding the arrest of Syed Faizul Karim, Naib Amir of the Bangladesh Islamic Movement and Mamunul Haque, the Acting Secretary General of Bangladesh Khilafah Majlis, within the next 24 hours.
The organization held a protest rally at the Shahbagh intersection at 4pm on Saturday, demanding his arrest on charges of insulting the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and threatening to throw the sculpture of Bangabandhu at Buriganga.
Aminul Islam Bulbul, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Mancha Liberation War, chaired the protest rally and led the general secretary. Al Mamun.
Al-Mamun said: “We have presented seven demands to the government.” According to our lawsuit, Mamunul Haque and Faizul Karim should be arrested and brought to justice soon. I will take to the streets in France to demand the arrest of Mamunul Huq just as I took to the streets to protest the insult to the Prophet.
Also present on the occasion were the President of the Muktijuddha Mancha Dhaka University Branch, Sonnet Mahmud, the President of the Dhaka Metropolitan North Branch, Milon Dhali, and other leaders.
Earlier, they reached the Shahbagh intersection through the Dhaka University campus with a protest procession around 3.30pm. More than three thousand leaders and activists from the central, metropolitan and Nayanganj branches of Mancha participated in it.
