Indian troops demand the arrest of a member of the Chinese army in Ladakh amid a tug-of-war border with China. The detainee was identified as Wang Ya Long. He is known for being a corporal in the PLA, according to local media reports in India.

According to the ANI news agency, the Chinese army was captured in the Chumar-Demchok area. Several important documents have been recovered from him. Initially, the Indian Army thought that the Chinese Army had inadvertently entered Indian territory. The PLA troops received oxygen, food and warm clothing. Not only that, but his treatment has also been organized by the Indian army.

A statement from the Indian army read: “People’s Liberation Army (PLA) detainees at Chushul-Moldo Point will be handed over to China according to protocol.” Ananda Bazar quoted army sources as saying that China had requested the location of the missing soldiers.

Since last May, Chinese and Indian troops have clashed on the de facto border in Ladakh. There were also clashes between the armies of the two countries in Galwan. Twenty Indian soldiers died in that confrontation. After that incident, the situation became more heated. To handle the situation, the two countries held regular meetings at the military and diplomatic level. But so far no final solution has been found.
