A defamation lawsuit against Hefazat Amir Junaid Babungari, Acting Secretary General of the Khilafah Majlis Mamunul Haque and Naib Amir Mufti Faizul Karim of the Islamic Government Movement has been rejected for commenting against the sculptures.
Dhaka Metropolitan Chief Magistrate Satyabrata Sikder dismissed the statement on Thursday because there was no material to deal with the case. Earlier on Wednesday, AB Siddiqui, chairman of Jannetri Parishad, presented the case in the court of Dhaka’s metropolitan chief magistrate, Satyabrata Sikder.
The other defendants in the case are BNP President Khaleda Zia, Acting President Tarique Rahman, and Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
In the RG of the case, plaintiff AB Siddiqui claimed that the defendant Mamunul Haque had delivered an anti-sculpture speech at a discussion meeting in the BMA auditorium on Topkhana Road in the capital on November 13. And Junaid Babungari gave an anti-sculpture speech at a meeting in Chittagong’s Hathazari on November 26. The defendant Faizul Karim delivered an anti-sculpture speech at a public meeting in front of the Baitul Mukarram mosque. The defendant Faizul Karim has threatened to throw the sculpture in Buriganga if it is done.
Previously, Khaleda Zia had threatened to overthrow the government of Sheikh Hasina. After the independence of the country, the anti-independent people are humiliating the country by distorting the father of the nation, the map of the country, the national flag and the history of the liberation war.
On August 21, 2004, BNP President Khaleda Zia allied with these militants to assassinate Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of the Father of the Nation, and killed 24 leaders and activists of the Awami League with her son Tariq Rahman. . Furthermore, thousands of innocent people were killed in 2014 by thugs from Jamaat-Shibir and BNP led by Khaleda Zia. In this situation, the militant group led by Khaleda Zia, an intermediary of the anti-independence Pakistanis, created various activities and conflicts to stop the sculpture of the father of the nation. With their thugs, they broke a hand from the sculpture of the father of the nation in Kushtia on the night of December 4. Dhaka University broke a sweet sculpture ear.
So the plaintiff thinks that this country was born under the leadership of that father. An independent Bangladesh breaking the hand of that father, these BNP-Jamaat-Hifazat, Islamic regime, these organizations plan to create Pakistan undermining independence-sovereignty and the architect of independence wants to erase the name of the father of the nation from the soil of this country .
Previously, a sedition case was filed against Babungari, Mamunul and Faizul on charges of ‘sedition’ for speaking out against the sculpture of the Father of the Nation. The Police Investigation Office (PBI) was ordered to investigate the two cases and submit a report before January 8.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Chief Magistrate Satyabrata Sikder’s court approved the order on Monday afternoon.
