The Dhaka Pallabi Police Station Police arrested the father-in-law accused of raping a daughter-in-law on 999. On Sunday (September 20) at 11 AM M., A woman called the 999 National Emergency Service run by the Bangladesh Police from a house at Mirpur 11, Block A, 19 Road below the Pallabi Police Station in Dhaka and asked for legal help.
The woman called 999 and said she had been raped by her father-in-law. She added that her husband had a physical disability and had a son. Her mother-in-law died four months ago. Since then, her father-in-law has harassed her in various ways, but she was unable to say anything to anyone for fear of public embarrassment. On Sunday morning, her father-in-law raped her and threatened not to reveal the incident. Since her husband is disabled, she cannot do anything against her father. She appealed to 999 for emergency police and legal assistance.

999 immediately spoke to the Pallabi Police Station Duty Officer with the caller. Upon receiving the news, a team of Pallabi police officers came to the scene. Later, SI Shafiar Rahman from the Pallabi Police Station went to the scene and rescued the 25-year-old victim and arrested his father-in-law Awal Ali (60).

Anwar Sattar, a 999 National Emergency Service police inspector, said the victim’s medical examination and further legal action were being taken.
