Staff reporter Noman Robin, the filmmaker, presented the ‘Special Remy Jury Prize’ to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The film ‘Blossoms from Ash’ directed by Noman Robin has been awarded the Special Remy Jury Prize at the 53rd World Fest-Houston International Film Festival in the United States. The festival committee confirmed the information to producer Alexander Bam by official email. Previously, Spielberg, Randall Klizer, George Lucas, John Lee Handcock, Ang Lee, The Coin Brothers, and many other famous film directors have received this jury award. “It is definitely the biggest achievement of my film career so far,” said Noman Robin. This film festival is called Oscar in the documentary world. Especially the section in which I received the Jury Prize is a very important political and international issue. Extremely proud to be the first winner of the Bangladesh Remy Award. I dedicated the award to the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Because his strong role in the Rohingya theme has brought the value and respect of Bangladesh to a unique height in the world. It is a political research documentary on the 300-year history of the Rohingya and the genocide, produced by the Left Falimi Foundation of America. Producer Bam said: “It saddens me to see the Rohingya issue in the US media over and over again.” I have not decided to stand by the people of Bangladesh making an important film by collecting real data on the genocide. Because around 12 lakh of Rohingya refugees have been unfairly imposed on Bangladesh. I am proud that Noman Robin and his skillful and courageous team have successfully implemented that dream of mine. I would like to thank the talented cinematographer Sarun Manandhar, the publisher Christopher Clinton Kube, the vocalist TJ Faraji, the musical director Pratya Khan, the co-producer Mahmudul Hasan Sumon, the supervisor Samy Sabur, the line producer Ahad and all the countries involved in this movie.
