DAG Ruper’s brief on ACC’s notice of summons has been removed from the agenda

Deputy Attorney General (DAG) Jannatul Ferdousi has been removed from the writ petition challenging the validity of the notice issued by the ACC for interrogation.

Justice Md. A bench of the virtual division of the High Court made up of Nazrul Islam Talukder and Judge Ahmed Sohel approved the order on Monday.

Attorneys ZI Khan Panna and Suraiya Begum were in favor of the writ petition. Lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan was in favor of the ACC.

ACC lawyer Khurshid Alam said the court had removed the order from the agenda because it was unable to hear it.

Suraiya Begum filed the writ on behalf of DAG Rupar in the corresponding branch of the High Court on November 1.

In the writ petition, the Secretary of the Interior, the President of the ACC, the Director General of the ACC (Special Investigation and Investigation-2) and the Deputy Director (Special Investigation and Investigation-2) were declared defendants. A petition for a court order has been filed requesting the suspension of the effect of the petition for court order and the issuance of the rule.

The ACC issued a notice to DAG Jannatul Ferdousi Rupa on October 28 for questioning. In the notice, you have been asked to report to the ACC central office on November 4 at 10 am along with records and documents.

The ACC notice sought DAG Ruper’s statement on allegations of wrongdoing, corruption, abuse of power and fraud through bribery, collusion with various defendants, including GK Shamim, and embezzlement of huge sums of money.
