Two students from Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NUSTU) have been expelled for allegedly insulting the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The two dismissed students are Pratik Majumder from the Department of Environmental Sciences and Disaster Management (ESDM) and Dipta Pal from the Department of Pharmacy for the 2017-18 academic year. Pratik’s house is in Ukilpara de Maijdi in Noakhali district and Dipta Pal’s house is in Sabujbagh residential area in Srimangal.

According to the decision of the disciplinary board, the two students were temporarily expelled and their seats in the hallways were canceled because they had insulted Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and religion on Facebook via social media and insulted religious feelings.
