Criticism of the Prophet, Jabi’s student expelled

Jagannath University student Tithi Sarkar was suspended by the university administration for allegedly insulting the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on social media Facebook.

The expulsion was announced in a press release issued by the university’s public relations, information and publications department. Tithi is a student of the Department of Zoology at the University of Zoology for the academic year 2017-2018.

The statement read: “You have been temporarily expelled from the university subject to union approval under the authority of the Vice Chancellor of section 11 (10) of the Jagannath University Act 2005 for insulting the religious sentiments of Prophet Muhammad ( PBUH) on Facebook. ” It’s done.

You have been instructed to inform the Registrar’s Office in writing within the next 10 days why you will not be permanently expelled from Jagannath University.

Early on Saturday, the university students organized a protest march under the banner of ordinary students demanding permanent expulsion from the Tithi government within 72 hours. 72 hours before this demand, the university administration suspended the government of Tithi.
