The body of Major General (retired) Bir Uttam Chitta Ranjan Dutt (CR Dutt), Commander of Sector 4 of the Liberation War and Founding Chairman of the Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unit of Bangladesh Parishad, will not be transferred to Shaheed Minar Central . You will be given an honor guard at the Dhakeswari temple in the capital.

Rana Dasgupta, general secretary of the Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Council, made the announcement on Monday (August 31) morning. She said: “The body is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka from the United States at 7.40 am today. But I didn’t go looking for the body. So I can’t tell if he has come or not. She said: ‘Her body will be kept in the cold room of the Army Hospital. The body will be removed from the cold room at 8 am on Tuesday (September 1) and taken home to DOHS in Banani. From there you will be taken to the Dhakeswari temple at 8am. They will stay for a couple of hours in Dhakeswari.

Rana Dasgupta further said: “His body will not be taken to the Shaheed Minar due to the current situation in Corona. However, she will be given an honor guard in Dhakeswari on Tuesday. From there, the body will go to the Bardeshwari crematorium in Sabujbagh. The army will greet you there from 11:30 am to 12 noon. Then the body will be cremated. ‘

Meanwhile, CR Dutt’s body arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday (August 31) at 8.40am on an Emirates Airlines flight.

CR Dutt died in a United States hospital on August 25 at around 9:30 am Bangladesh time. She was 93 years old at the time of her death. She suffered from various diseases due to old age.
