Four children arrested in a rape case in Bakerganj, Barisal have been released on bail. The Barisal Juvenile Court was seated by order of the Superior Court at 10 p.m. Thursday.
Following the hearing, Judge Abu Shamim Azad granted the children bail. The bail order was sent to the Poolerhat Youth Development Center in Jessore overnight. Later in the evening, they were released from there and sent to Bakerganj in an air-conditioned minibus. These children are 6 to 9 years old.
On Sunday, the four children played in the garden next to the house with their six-year-old neighbor. The girl’s father filed a rape case against her at the Bakerganj police station on Tuesday. Subsequently, the police arrested four children and brought them to court.
On Wednesday afternoon, Bakerganj Amli’s Senior Judge Magistrate, Court Judge Enayet Ullah, denied them bail and ordered that they be sent to the Jessore Youth Development Center. The report was published on television at 9 pm, Justice said. Mojibur Rahman Mia and Judge Mohiuddin Shamim were served by the High Court court.
Then the Superior Court summoned the Judicial Magistrate on October 11. At the same time, he told the officer in charge of the Bakerganj Police Station that the four children along with their guardians were present in court that day.
In addition, the director of the Barisal Medical College Hospital has been asked to submit a medical report on the rape of the girl victim to the Superior Court before 10:30 am the same day. The Superior Court also ordered Deputy Commissioner Jessore to take the four children with their parents in an air-conditioned minibus Thursday night.
