Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that the people of the country have freed themselves from various natural calamities, including the new Coronavirus, as the Awami League is in power. The party chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made the remarks at a meeting of the central executive parliament of the Awami League on Saturday morning.

The Prime Minister said that the fact that Awami League is a popular organization has been proven once again during the ongoing disaster. He added that the people of the country are relieved that the Awami League is in power.

A meeting of the central executive parliament of the Awami League was held in Ganobhaban under the chairmanship of the president of the Awami League and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 10 am on Saturday. The meeting was held on a limited basis in compliance with hygiene regulations.

At the time, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina criticized some political parties and said, “Why did they not support the people of the country in the crisis and remain in the speeches and statements?”

The Awami League executive parliament met after about seven months due to the Corona crisis. At first, party chair and prime minister Sheikh Hasina said: “Awami League leaders and workers across the country have sincerely worked for the people as well as the administration in the Corona crisis and natural disasters. Sheikh Hasina said that more than five hundred leaders and activists of the Awami League lost their lives during the coronation period due to their involvement in the welfare of the people.

Sheikh Hasina said: ‘We stand alongside the people. I will support the people and I want to tell the people that the people’s organization is the Awami League. And the Awami League is on the side of the people and that is the proof of this disaster … this Corona epidemic. People’s trust is our only resource. That’s our strength. ‘

Highlighting the initiatives taken by her government for the welfare of the people, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the government has also supported expatriates working in different countries. However, the prime minister regrets that some people are not working, just talking.

Sheikh Hasina said: ‘They have spoken lip-service. There are media, and I have given television in private, I have given radio in private … many magazines … that are saying that they are mixing the sweetness of their minds … but they have not been seen on the side of the people in their field … so if someone judges Awami League No matter how much they did or didn’t do, they don’t look in the mirror. ‘

The Prime Minister further said: “There are many institutions in this country to serve poor people. We see a lot of activities, but we didn’t see any of them during this time. Thats the reality. Then everyone is at home … then there is no one next to the people. The Awami League is next to the people.

Noting that the organizational strength of the Awami League has been demonstrated in the Crown and natural calamities, the Prime Minister urged to strengthen the organization by updating lapsed committees across the country.

Meanwhile, after the meeting, the deputy general secretary of the Awami League, Mahbubul-Alam Hanif, said that the committee given by the leaders of the metropolitan Awami League would be analyzed and published in the form of amendments.

Furthermore, Publicity and Publications Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap said that “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed that no controversial anti-independence person can join the committee throughout the country.”
