The head doctor of the National Covid Task Force, Binod Pal, said that in the first phase 300 million people will be vaccinated in the country. Kovid is teaming up with government, industry and other stakeholders for vaccination. He said there would be 31 major stock centers across the country. From there, the vaccine will be delivered to 29,000 vaccination points in the state. There are plans to vaccinate healthcare workers who are working on the front lines in the fight against the crown. Referring to the government’s plan, he said, “In the first phase, only those at high risk will be included in the vaccination list.”
The center said online training modules are being developed to keep track of who is being vaccinated, how many doses are being distributed and what steps are being taken to preserve the vaccine. The digital platform, called the ‘Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network’, will record all information about vaccine distribution and storage.
They will practice how to inject the vaccine, how much knowledge they have about the vaccine, if any side effects occur or if someone gets sick, what to do immediately, etc. Understanding the importance based on occupation, age, etc., the center has developed four categories.
The first category includes doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, applicants, medical students. In total, about a million people will be vaccinated first. In the second category, a list has been drawn up to vaccinate at least 20 million people, including workers in the police and municipal administration. There are 26 million people in the third category, who are over 50 years old. The fourth category will include patients with joint mobility and people under 50 who need more socialization for their profession.

The Covishield vaccine is being developed at the Seram Institute in Pune. Prime Minister Narendra Modi went there a few days ago to see the vaccine making work on site. According to Seram, 4-5 crore doses of this vaccine have already been prepared. Adar Punewala, Seram’s captain, says they will produce 300 million doses of Covishield Ticker by July.
