On March 17, 10 days after the identification of the first patient, the Department of Health confirmed the first death report in the country. On December 12, it exceeded seven thousand. Of these, 64 deaths were reported in a single day on June 30, the highest number of deaths in a single day.

Bangladesh is ranked 26th in the world in terms of the Johns Hopkins University list and 33rd in terms of death toll.

The number of identified patients in the world has already exceeded 6 crore 8 lakh; The death toll has exceeded 18 lakh 93 thousand.

According to the Department of Health, in the last 24 hours, 15,089 samples have been analyzed in 113 RT-PCR laboratories, 16 gene laboratories and 29 rapid antigen laboratories throughout the country, which means a total of 180 laboratories. So far 30 lakh 91,349 samples have been tested.

So far, 24 lakh 71,593 samples have been tested under government management. And 6 lakh 29,758 have been under private management.

Considering the 24-hour sample test, the detection rate is 9.36 percent, so far the total detection rate is 16.24 percent. Granted, the recovery rate is 7.56 percent and the death rate is 1.47 percent.

Of those killed on the last day, 23 were men and 9 women. Of them, 30 died in the hospital and two at home.

Of these, 21 were over 60 years old, 5 were between 51 and 60 years old, 3 were between 41 and 50 years old and 1 was between 31 and 40, 21 to 30 and 11 to 20 years old.

Among those killed were 15 residents of Dhaka Division, 6 residents of Chittagong Division, 1 resident of Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur Division and 3 residents of Barisal and Sylhet Divisions.

Of the 6,312 people who have died so far in the country, 5,565 are men and 1,636 are women.

3,969 of them were over 60 years old. In addition, 1,008 people are between 51 and 60 years old, 659 are between 41 and 50 years old, 369 are between 31 and 40 years old, 159 are between 21 and 30 years old, 56 are between 11 and 20 years old and 34. I was less than 10 years old .
