The latest information on the coronavirus situation in the country was issued by the Health Department in a press release on Thursday afternoon.

The first case of coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh on March 8 and surpassed 4.5 million on November 24. Of these, 4,019 patients with Kovid-19 were identified on July 2, which is the highest in a single day.

On March 17, 10 days after the identification of the first patient, the Department of Health confirmed the first death report in the country. On November 26, it exceeded six thousand five hundred. Of these, 64 deaths were reported in a single day on June 30, the highest number of deaths in a single day.

Bangladesh is ranked 26th in the world in terms of Johns Hopkins University and 32nd in terms of death toll.

The number of patients identified in the world so far has already exceeded 64.5 million; The death toll has exceeded 14 lakh 93 thousand.

According to the Department of Health, 16,708 samples have been analyzed in 116 laboratories across the country in the last 24 hours. So far 26 lakh 20,981 samples have been tested.

Considering the 24-hour sample test, the detection rate is 13.6 percent, so far the total detection rate is 16.72 percent. The recovery rate is 72.33 percent and the mortality rate is 1.43 percent.

Of those killed on the last day, 23 were men and 12 women. They all died in the hospital.

23 of them were over 60 years old, 5 of them between 10 and 51 to 60 years old and 1 to 2 of them were between 21 and 30 and 11 to 20 years old.

The dead included 22 from the Dhaka division, 5 from the Mymensingh division, 3 from each of the Chittagong and Rangpur divisions, and 1 from each of the Rajshahi and Barisal divisions.

Of the 6,648 people who have died in the country so far, 5,174 are men and 1,564 are women.

3,598 of them were over 60 years old. Also 1,652 people between 51 and 60 years old, 612 people between 41 and 50 years old, 348 people between 31 and 40 years old, 151 people between 21 and 30 years old, 55 people between 11 and 20 and 33 people. He was less than 10 years old.

Of these, 3,740 were residents of the Dhaka division, 1,269 of the Chittagong division, 409 of the Rajshahi division, 499 of the Khulna division, 220 of the Barisal division, 26 of the Sylhet division, 306 of the Rangpur division and 139 of the Mymensingh division.
