Coronavirus: 17 deaths in one day, the lowest in five weeks

The Health Department said in a statement to the media Tuesday afternoon that a total of 6,329 people had died from coronavirus in the country, including 18 who died in the last day.

According to the Department of Health, another 2,235 patients in home and hospital treatment have recovered in the last day. The total number of healthy patients has risen to 4 lakh 41,929 people.

The first case of coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh on March 8; It crossed 5 lakh on December 20. Of these, 4,019 patients with Kovid-19 were identified on July 2, which is the highest in a single day.

On March 17, 10 days after the identification of the first patient, the Department of Health confirmed the first death report in the country. On December 12, it exceeded seven thousand. Of these, 64 deaths were reported in a single day on June 30, the highest number of deaths in a single day.

Bangladesh is ranked 26th in the world in terms of the Johns Hopkins University list and 33rd in terms of death toll.

The number of identified patients in the world has already exceeded 6 crore 84 lakh; The death toll has exceeded 18 lakh 3,000.

According to the Department of Health, 15,145 samples were analyzed in 113 RT-PCR laboratories, 19 gene expert laboratories and 29 rapid antigen laboratories throughout the country in the last 24 hours, a total of 161 laboratories. So far 31 lakh 8,494 samples have been tested.

So far, 24 lakh 71 thousand 79 samples have been tested under government management. And 6 lakh 34,625 have been under private management.

Considering the sample test in 24 hours, the detection rate is 7.60 percent, so far the total detection rate is 16.21 percent. The recovery rate is 8.6 percent and the mortality rate is 1.47 percent.

Of those who have died in the last day, 11 are men and 8 are women. 16 of them died in the hospital and 1 at home.

Of these, 11 were over 60, 4 were between 51 and 60 years old and 2 were between 41 and 50 years old.

The dead included 9 from the Dhaka division, 4 from the Chittagong division and 1 from the Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet and Rangpur divisions.

Of the 6,329 people killed so far in the country, 5,058 are men and 1,743 are women.

3,960 of them were over 60 years old. In addition, 1,080 people between 51 and 60 years old, 71 people between 41 and 50 years old, 369 people between 31 and 40 years old, 159 people between 21 and 30 years old, 56 people between 11 and 20 and 34 people. He was less than 10 years old.

Of these, 4005 were residents of the Dhaka Division, 1363 from the Chittagong Division, 430 from the Rajshahi Division, 518 from the Khulna Division, 235 from the Barisal Division, 290 from the Sylhet Division, 329 from the Rangpur Division and 159 of Mymensingh Division.
