Shahparan police presented Rajan, Rony and Ainul at the court premises on Saturday afternoon amid tight security. After taking the statement in the evening, the court ordered them to be sent to jail.
Police officer Amulya Kumar said the other two defendants in the case, Tarekul Islam aka Tareq Ahmed and Mahfuzur Rahman Masum, were presented at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital on Saturday afternoon and their DNA samples were collected. . Both are in preventive detention for five days.
They could appear in court on Sunday, police said.
The rape allegations from the girlfriend, who was visiting her husband at MC College in the Tilagarh area of Sylhet at around 9:30 pm on October 28, were collected from campus and taken to a dorm.
The following day, the housewife’s husband filed a lawsuit against nine people, including Chhatra League activist Saifur Rahman, at the Shahparan Police Station in Sylhet.
