Violent Trump supporters on the US Capitol have been cited as a direct hit to the US Parliament and Constitution. The US Army’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Millie, said in a statement. The incident was convicted on Tuesday (January 12).
The statement named the newly elected President of the United States, Joe Biden, as the 46th Commander-in-Chief of the US Army. It has been said that he will be entrusted with this responsibility by taking the oath under the constitution as of January 20.
“As members of the armed forces, we must respect and uphold the values and ideals of our nation,” the statement said. We support and protect our constitution. Any attempt to disrupt the constitutional process is not only against our traditions, values and commitments, but also against the law. Freedom of expression and the right of assembly do not give anyone the right to violence, sedition and rebellion.
