A college student on hunger strike at her boyfriend’s house in Bagha, Rajshahi has been rescued and sent to hospital. Bagha police sent him to the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital OCC on Friday afternoon. Previously, she was rescued from her boyfriend Abdullah’s home in the Gorangpur village of upazila around 9:30 pm on Thursday.
The university student said: I started a hunger strike at Abdullah’s house because he was not married. The police took me to the police station. Later he was sent to the OCC of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
She also said that six months ago she fell in love with Abdullah, the son of Sajdar Rahman from the village of Gourangpur. Due to this relationship he had several physical relationships with her. But Abdullah didn’t tell me anything and set Friday as the day to get married elsewhere. When I learned that the wedding day was over, I came to Abdullah’s house and started fasting.
Her boyfriend Abdullah said she had a love affair with a college student for some time. Her relationship with her other son ended 6/7 months ago. I had no physical relationship with him. Your father has filed a false case against me.
Pakuria Union President Merajul Islam Meraj Sarkar said that a member of the ward received responsibility after learning of the incident. I went to the scene and assigned two guards to watch. Later, the police rescued him from the scene and took him to the police station.
It is worth mentioning that a university student (18) started a hunger strike at the door of her boyfriend Abdullah’s house at 4 pm on Wednesday demanding marriage.
Bagha OC Nazrul Islam Police Station said the college student was rescued and sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for examination. However, the complaint from the college student’s father has been registered as a case.
