A member of the village police has been charged with raping a university student with the identity of the DB police in Bagha, Rajshahi. Police arrested the cheater Sohail shortly after the victim filed a case.
Sohail, 26, the son of Amirul Islam from Jotraghab village in Rajshahi’s Bagha upazila, introduced himself to DB police and fell in love with a university student from Uttar Gaopara a couple of months ago. Bajubagha had a physical relationship with the student at Union Parishad for a few days after talking about the marriage in a bogus cabinet letter.
He later learned that he was a union watchdog. The victim filed a case at the Bagha police station on Monday afternoon.
The victim’s grandmother said, “Not one, but many girls can be defeated in this way.” Representatives of the local population have demanded a fair trial for this incident. After the case, the police arrested the fraudster and detained him.
The officer in charge of Bagha Police Station (OC), Nazrul Islam, said the girl was sent to the OCC of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for a medical examination.
