A college student was tricked in his development. The scammers took 51,000 rupees from your development.
Later, on the advice of the police, the victim began to act in love with the cheater. When love froze, he came to meet the cheating student. The Detective Branch (DB) of the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) arrested the fraudster along with an accomplice.
Those arrested are Hasan Khan, 19, son of Abdul Khan from Jangalpasha Madhyapara village in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur, and Mahmud Hasan alias Bayezid, 19, son of Nur Mohammad Sheikh from Jangalpasha Purbapara village.
They were arrested at the Laxmipur crossing in Rajshahi on Sunday afternoon when they came to meet a college student caught in love. 6,000 rupees have been recovered from them. RMP Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) Abu Ahmed Al Mamun confirmed the information.
Police say they are professional scammers. They manipulated Bikash’s PIN number by making a call on his mobile phone. Then withdraw the development money.
The RMP DB Deputy Police Commissioner said the victim was a student from Rajshahi New Govt. He studied in the twelfth promotion of the university career. On November 17, he received a call from an unknown number on his mobile phone. That person was the trickster Hasan. However, he introduced himself as that student’s college professor. It says the government is awarding scholarships to students through development in Corona. But the number to which the scholarship will be sent must have at least 50 lakhs for development. Then the government will send money to this number.
Unable to anticipate the matter, the student spoke to his tutor and put Rs 50,000 on the development. And there was already some money in its development. After withdrawing money for the student’s development, the scammer Hasan got to know her PIN number. He then withdrew 51,000 rupees from the development of the student. After realizing the trap, the student took refuge in the DB police.
The police officer further said: ‘After hearing everything, I advised the student to continue talking to the cheater from another number. Since we haven’t talked much before, you may not understand. This strategy worked. The next day the girl started talking to him from another number. The cheater did not recognize the girl. The cheater was more interested in talking than the girl. When he offered the girl love, she agreed. So love continues to act and keep us updated. In these 12 days love freezes. ‘
He said that following his advice, the student called to meet the cheater. In response to the call, Hasan arrived at the Laxmipur corner of Rajshahi city on Sunday with another accomplice. The police in white have already taken a position in the area. When they came to meet the college student, they caught the two cheaters.
A total of Tk 6,000 was recovered from the two during the arrest. The victim’s father has filed a case against them under the Digital Security Act at the Rajpara police station in the city. They were sent to jail through court Monday showing arrest in the case.
