Cold wave in 12 regions, lowest temperature in Chuadanga

The areas of Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Kurigram, Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Jessore, Kushtia, Chuadanga, Barisal, Gopalganj and Srimangal are experiencing a mild cold snap and could continue, the meteorological office said.

Cold spells include 9 degrees at Gopalganj, 6.4 degrees at Srimangal, 8 degrees at Rajshahi, 9.2 degrees at Ishwardi, 6.2 degrees at Badalgachhi, 9.8 degrees at Dinajpur, 7.4 degrees at Tentulia and 7.4 degrees in Rajshahi. 10 degrees Celsius, 6.8 degrees Celsius at Jessore, 6.8 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga, 10 degrees Celsius at Kumarkhali, 9.8 degrees Celsius at Barisal, 10 degrees Celsius at Khepupara and Bhola.

Meanwhile, the forecast for the next 24 hours starting at 9 a.m. said that the weather across the country could remain dry. Light to moderate fog can fall across the country from night to early morning. Daytime and nighttime temperatures across the country can remain largely unchanged.

The extension of the subcontinental high pressure zone is in West Bengal and adjacent areas. The normal light pressure for the season is in the South Bay.
