A mobile court sealed three training centers in Rangpur to operate training centers in secret in defiance of government directives. At the same time, the directors of the three training centers have been sentenced to three months in prison for failing to pay a fine of Taka 20,000.
On Monday afternoon (November 23), the district administration and RAB-13 jointly carried out the operation in the College Road Lalbagh area of the city. The executive magistrate of the district administration Mahmudul Hasan Mridha headed the mobile court.
Executive Magistrate Mahmudul Hasan Mridha said action has been taken against the city’s Neuron, Campus and Merit Stair Coaching Center for ignoring government guidelines and keeping the training center open.
He said that while corona infection is increasing across the country, some unscrupulous merchants, institutions and individuals are increasing the risk of infection by disobeying government guidelines. Campaigns were carried out at the training centers as part of the ongoing campaign against them. Hundreds of students from these three training centers were at risk of corona in class. During the operation, the training centers were closed and their activities stopped. At the same time, the owner of each training center has been sentenced to three months in prison for failing to pay a fine of Rs 20,000.
Executive Magistrate Mahmudul Hasan Mridha said: “We will do it if we want to be strict to avoid the risk of corona infection.” However, no one will be saved. Actions will be continuously taken against these training centers.
