Clashes between two groups of villagers in Saltha, 13 injured

In Saltha upazila of Faridpur, 13 people were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers over a dispute over land. The confrontation took place between the villages of Bahirdia and Narandia of the Ramkantpur union in upazila on Friday evening. Upon receiving the news, the police went to the scene and controlled the situation.

As a result, a fight broke out between Yusuf Sharif and Oli Mollah at the local market on Friday night. At one point there was a confrontation between the two villagers. At that time, bricks were thrown and chases were carried out. At least 13 people were injured in the confrontation, which lasted about an hour. The injured have received first aid locally.

Saltha Police Officer in Charge (CO) Mohammad Ali Jinnah said the atmosphere is calm now. Additional police have been deployed to the area to prevent further clashes. Neither party has filed a complaint with the police until 11 a.m. on Saturday.
