Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that China and Bangladesh are ready to work together with President Abdul Hamid to take the China-Bangladesh strategic partnership to new heights, further consolidate the strategies of the two countries, and jointly build the Strip and the route.
Xi made the remarks while exchanging congratulatory messages with President Hamid Karzai on Sunday on the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
In his message, Xi Jinping said that the friendship between China and Bangladesh has a long history and has grown stronger over time.
He added that since the establishment of diplomatic relations 45 years ago, the two countries have always respected each other, enhanced mutual political trust, and strengthened mutual cooperation. Which is a clear advantage for both countries.
Although both China and Bangladesh have faced various crises since the Kovid-19 outbreak, they have helped each other fight the epidemic and a new chapter in bilateral friendship has been written, the Chinese president said.
In his message, President Abdul Hamid said that relations between Bangladesh and China are developing rapidly and cooperation continues in several important areas, to which Bangladesh attaches great importance.
Appreciating China’s continued support for the progress of Bangladesh’s socio-economic development, he hopes that the close and friendly relations between the two countries will deepen in the future.
On Sunday, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang also exchanged congratulatory messages with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
In his message, Li said that China wishes to deepen cooperation with Bangladesh in various fields and for the betterment of the two countries and their peoples for the stable and sustainable development of the strategic partnership between China and Bangladesh.
Sheikh Hasina said that the strategic cooperative partnership between Bangladesh and China has developed out of the proven friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
